The powerful enterprise-class TES-3085U, powered by an Intel® Xeon® D processor, has two operating systems, and can be used with either the FreeBSD-based QES or the Linux-based QTS. While QES supports ZFS for utmost reliability and allows capture of close to unlimited number of snapshots, block-level data duplication and real-time data compression, QTS is equipped with Qtier technology, SSD cache and a host of apps that provide added value realize storage efficiency and diverse use applications. The TES-3085U offers the flexibility to choose between two operating systems so that companies can deploy suitable operating systems on multiple TES-3085Us based on their needs and goals at different stages. The TES-3085U is particularly useful for providing a fast flash storage solution with up to 24 disk compartments and 6 dedicated SSD compartments for caching.
NOTE!
1. In order to be able to change NAS operating systems after complete configuration, the hard drives must be re-initialized and all stored data deleted. A remote backup is required before the NAS operating system can be changed.
2. Fiber Channel support is available from QTS 4.4.1 (or later), but is not supported by QES.
